Terms of Service; - Professional Organising, Decluttering Services, Interior Help & Senior Services
It is my objective to ensure I am providing you with an excellent service that provides you with the end result you desire for your home or office. We will agree planned objectives for each project at the start and sign these terms and conditions before work begins, they will be valid for all sessions.
Any advice is given in good faith and it is always your decision on whether or not to keep particular possessions. Declutter Angel cannot therefore accept responsibility for the consequences of any decisions.
Hours of Work
I will only charge for hours worked to the nearest 15mins, it is not always possible to anticipate how long exactly each project will take therefore it is agreed that hours charged will match hours worked each day, from arrival to departure (and not for a lunch break should the session cover lunch time).
I do not offer a specific cleaning service, other than what would be reasonably included in the course of organising your home or office. It may be considered useful for you to hire a cleaner after your space has been decluttered, organised or staged, I can help you find a local cleaner if requested. I cannot move or lift very large items due to Health & Safety reasons therefore if this is necessary you wish to arrange a friend, neighbour or family member to assist.
Other Suppliers and Services
There may be occasions where you need to use other services or products related to the project (i.e.) a cleaning company or furnishings. I will suggest other companies and their services and products however, as you can expect, I cannot be held liable should there be issues with their works or for any loss or damage caused by any such alternative supplier. Any alternative supplier charges for services or products are always payable by you.
Privacy & Paper Sorting
I take your privacy extremely seriously - all detail and information and details regarding your personal and business life and possessions will be kept completely confidential. Should paper sorting be required you accept that I am not a solicitor and cannot be held legally liable for any advice given.
Declutter Angel is a full Member of apdo-uk (The Association of Professional DeClutterers and Organisers) and abides by their Code of Ethics.
I can confirm I hold full professional indemnity and public liability insurance cover for my services.
To determine your needs an initial consultation takes place over the phone. Once work begins charges are as agreed or at the hourly rate quoted on declutterangel.com related to the particular service you require. Travel costs are included in the hourly or project rate unless travel is more than 20 miles from my office address, in which case an appropriate mileage allowance is as quoted on declutterangel.com. All other pricing is listed on declutterangel.com.
When the work for the day is complete you will be asked for payment, either by cash or cheque, or confirmation that payment has been made by direct transfer into our bank account.
In the event of an emergency or unforeseen circumstances causing the need to re-book our appointment, I will give you as much notice as possible and re-arrange the appointment with you. Where possible if you cancel I ask that you give a minimum of two days’ notice. Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform any obligation under this Agreement if the failure is caused by any circumstance beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, or industrial dispute.
